This year, TL 7 bn is allocated for railway investments. There are many railway projects in the investment program, and 5 of them is/will be commissioned this year:
Marmaray project, which stopped for 2 years, seems to progress fast this year. Transport Ministry allocates TL 1.4bn (€ 0.4bn) for the project.
TCDD slows down in construction of high speed lines after starting many of them at the same time.
TCDD will invest about TL 600mn for passenger train sets, locos and freight wagons this year.
Antalya’s new tram line to Expo 2016 will start service during Expo 2016 which is going to start next month.
New legislation published last week which will end the paper work for containers.
After being the first Turkish company to get “Maintanance Functions Certificate”, Acarlar Vagon now is the first private company to get the ECM certificate.
