How to get to Ani Ruins from Izmir by train?
Ani ruins are over 1500 km away from İzmir. By train, you’ll have the chance to discover Turkey’s two overnight trains at one travel, and have some time to see Konya.
You’ll take the overnight train (better in sleeper) to Konya, high speed train to Ankara and another overnight train to Kars. Travel will take 2 days, but you’ll have some time to see Eskişehir and Ankara. Train will be at Kars in the evening, thus you need to stay at hotel in Kars.
