Logitrans, International Transport Logistics Exhibition, started on 18th of November at Istanbul, is hosting a couple of railway companies which started new operations in Turkey.
Swiss company Transwaggon, supplying flat and covered wagons since 50 years in Europe, had started supplying wagons now in Turkey for domestic transports. The fleet is closed wagons, all registered in Turkey. Until now, Transwaggon’s wagons were used to/from Turkey only for international transports.
Another company is VTG, which has divisions of wagon hire, railway logistics and tank container logistics, has now started operations in Turkey. Like Transwaggon, VTG was only involved in international transports until now.
RTSB, German company mainly focused on intermodal rail freight forwarding especially to/from CIS countries and China, has announced its new intermodal service from Cesme, Izmir to Munich via Trieste.
Arkas Logistics, Balo, CFL Intermodal, DB Schenker, Mars Logistics, Rail Cargo Group, Railistics, Schenker Arkas, Transorient and Ulusoy Logistics are the other companies in Logitrans with railway services.
