The conventional main lines of Turkey are 8334 km long as of 2014. On 1609-km-long part of these lines (20%), electric locos and EMUs can run.

According to Turkish State Railways Annual Statistics 2014, the total railway network of Turkey is 12485 km long including high speed lines, second lines etc. 3748 km of the network is electrified (30% of total network).
According to Railway Industry report published by Transport Ministry this year, target for electrification is 70% by 2018, and 100% by 2023.
