Construction works in Kartal-Kaynarca metro is almost completed and the metro is very close to opening.

The Kartal-Kaynarca extension of Kadikoy-Kartal metro is expected to open soon after test runs are completed. Construction of metro lines is completed and test runs started, as informed by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. However the stations still seem to be under construction.

This 4-km-long extension will add three new stations under the main state road (E5) to Kadikoy-Kartal metro, Yakacik, Pendik and Kaynarca. The length of metro will reach to 26 km.
