Economy

Economy class is only in high speed trains and offers 2+2 seats. Half of the seats are in one direction, and rest in other direction. In each car, CAF sets have 4 tables and Siemens sets have 2. 4 passengers seat around one table.

Each wagon has one WC, space for big suitcases and luggage area over seats.

Four and a half of the six cars of CAF sets and six of the eight cars of the Siemens sets are sold as economy class.

In CAF sets, there are only electric plugs under seats which are next to tables.

Economi with refreshment

Some of the economy class wagons may be sold as “economy class + refreshment” depending on the route and time. Passengers are charged TL 25 (€ 4) for refreshment and get a free meal during travel (as of Sep 2018). Economy and economy+refreshment wagons are separate. You need to find seat from the option you want.

Business

TCDD offers economy/business classes only in high speed trains.

Business class offers 2+1 leather seats with multi-media screen and electric plug on each seat.

First wagon of CAF and Siemens HST sets is for business class.

Surcharge for business class is 32 TL/person for Istanbul-Ankara train (as of Sep 2018).

Business with refreshment

Some seats of the business class wagons may be sold as “business class + refreshment” depending on the route and time. Packed food service is given for those seats. This option is about TL 25 (€ 4) (as of Sep 2018). Business and business+refreshment seats are separate. You need to find seat from the option you want.

Business compartment

TCDD introduced business compartments only in high speed train services given by Velaro TR sets.

Business compartments offers 4 leather seats with multi-media screen and electric plug on each seat in a private room.

There are 3 compartments in each train, in the second wagon. Two of them are for men, and one for women.

As of Sep 2018, high speed trains with business compartments are available only on Ankara-Konya and Ankara-Eskisehir routes.
