BDZ (Bulgarian State Railways) announced a number of restrictions on the railway corridor number 10 which connects Turkey to Europe due to the railway construction works.

The routes affected from restrictions and the schedule is as follows:

• Svilengrad – Simeonovgrad : Line will be closed between 09:00 and 16:00.
• Simeonovgrad – Dimitrovgrad : Line is closed completely. Alternative line is being used, which increases the transit time from 2 to 5,5 hours.
• Plovdiv – Septemvri : Railway construction works are on one of the two lines, between 06:00 and 21:00. Trains are using the second line according to the program of BDZ.

These ongoing works are due to last phase of the railway project which is going to increase the commercial speed to 160 km/h all through the corridor.
