Passenger trains running on Soma-Balikesir-Bandirma section have been suspended. This will soon be followed by remaining services on Izmir-Soma section.
After suspending Ege Express giving service on Izmir-Balikesir section for four months, TCDD had closed the Bandirma-Balikesir-Soma section for passenger trains. The trains running on Izmir-Balikesir-Bandirma section had started to give service between Izmir and Soma starting with 7th of March.
Furthermore, kin the online ticketing system of TCDD, EYBIS, 6 Eylul Express is closed for sales beginning with 12th of March, and Karesi Express beginning with 15th of March.
TDCD has started engineering works on this section and rearranged passenger services in February.
