TCDD Tasimacilik’s new Siemens high speed train sets will start operation starting from tomorrow.

The Siemens Velaro TR sets, 6 in total, had been delivered last year and TCDD Tasimacilik will start service with these sets starting from tomorrow.

Strengthing its high speed train fleet, TCDD Tasimacilik will increase the services on high speed line network. Ankara-Konya train services will increase from 7 to 10 in each direction, Ankara-Eskisehir from 5 to 6 and Ankara-Istanbul from 6 to 7 every day.

The new Siemens sets, unveiled at last Innotrans, have 45 business class seats, 424 economy class seats, 2 seats for wheel chairs and 3 business compartments each having 4 seats. The new sets are equipped with entertainment system as well.

Here is the new luxury high speed train of Turkey

Siemens sets will only run between Ankara and Konya. Other train services between Istanbul-Ankara, Ankara-Eskisehir and Istanbul-Konya will continue to be given by CAF sets.

The new timetables will be valid beginning from 10th of March 2017.
