Level crossing accidents

Collisions at level crossings are on the top of the list. There are many points in Turkey where road crosses the railway. Accidents mainly happen where there’s no automatic barriers.

Horn is the only thing train drivers can do. Only solution is that drivers on road must follow the rules.

According to new legislation, level crossings in new railways must have barriers. Current ones will be renewed as well within given time. With barriers, accidents will decrease and train speed will increase.
