The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway will be be opened to commercial transportation by the end of 2014.

The Deputy Head of the Azerbaijan Railways JSC Gurban Nasirov told that the construction works will be completed by the end of 2013, and during 2014, other issues and trials will be done, as written in Azernews.

The project has a target of 6.5 million tons of cargo and will reach to its peak of 17 million tons in the following years.
