Due to the big congestion in Cerkezkoy Terminal after the closure of Halkali Terminal, the leading container company IFB, with 4-5 pairs of trains per week, moved its traffic to Tekirdag Port.

Since rail ferry traffic to Derince not started yet, the railway facility in Tekirdag Port will solely be used by IFB. Although Tekirdag is a bit far away to main industrial areas in Turkey, IFB seems not to be affected from congestion any more.
