VTG, the wagon leasing company and Kuehne+Nagel, the logistics company signed an agreement to merge their railway activities in Europe.

As stated in Railway Gazette, the agreement is signed on September 27 after the letter of intend signed in April. The new company, VTG Rail Logistics will begin operations on January, 2014.

VTG will hold the majority stake in this new company and Kuehne Nagel’s intermodal operations will not be involved in this mergery.
