Organization of regions will highly affected by the foundation of TCDD Tasimacilik AS.
Service Managers will be the highest manager at 1st degree provinces (most probably current 7 regions of TCDD). They’ll report to Head of Logistics of TCDD Tasimacilik AS in Ankara.
All logistics managers and chiefs in the region will deport to service managers. Service managers will be responsible for all rolling stock, train planning, logistics services, all marketing, financial and administrative activities.
Below is the planned organizational chart which is expected to be built in current 7 regions of TCDD:
A similar organization will be built also for Passenger Transportation. Thus, locos seem to be splitted for passenger and freight in the near future. With the HST, EMU and DMU sets, the rolling stock has already started to be differentiated in last years.
Train formation workers, which used to work both for passenger and freight trains are expected to stay in logistics.
Which department will manage mixed trains carrying freight and passenger at the same time is not mentioned yet.
