The biggest share from Istanbul’s 2016 rail investments budget is for Kabatas-Mecidiyekoy-Mahmutbey metro.
TL 930 mn (€ 300 mn) will be spent for Kabatas-Mecidiyekoy-Mahmutbey metro this year. This amount is almost one third of total budget for rail systems in Istanbul. Construction of metro tunnel continues and project is expected to be completed in 2019.
The construction works in Kabatas-Mecidiyekoy-Mahmutbey metro had started in 2015, and almost half of the budget will have spent by the end of this year.
