The last critical legislation about liberalization of railway transportation in Turkey is published today.
This legislation explains the rights and responsibilities of infrastructure and train operators, forwarders, agencies and terminal operators.
This legislation took longest time to discuss and finalize, and with this, the legal steps about liberalization of railway transportation was almost completed. Now the operational details of how train operators use the rail network will be focused. The network manifest and organizational structure of TCDD are very important at this phase.
There are four more legislation to be published. These are:
- Training and test center
- Critical safety staff
- Train driver
- Public service obligation
