Due to engineering works in Greece, all rail freight services between Greece and Turkey are suspended.

The engineering works started between Drama and Komotini stations causing all freight trains between two countries stopped.

The traffic had stopped on 25th of September. Construction works are expected to last 6 months. The railway section is opened for a few hours when needed.

There’s very little rail traffic between Turkey and Greece, mainly done with tank wagons.
