First private freight train of Turkey has departed.
The first freight train operated by private train operator had departed last Friday. The train was loaded with iron ore by Ermaden at Divrigi and was transported to Iskenderun. The operator of train was Omsan Logistics.
The annual volume is over 2 million tons. A great portion of this load will be carried by Omsan Logistics. Omsan will operate 4 of 6 daily trains where TCDD Tasimacilik will do the rest.
Omsan has 15 electric locos and 350 ore wagons all of which are rented from TCDD Tasimacilik.
