Tehran-Nahcivan railway project inked

Iran and Azerbaijan signed agreement to complete the Tehran-Nahcivan railway.

Iran and Azerbaijan officers agreed on constructing the railway connection between Nahcivan (Autonomous Region of Azerbaijan) and Iran.

There’s only a railway connection between neighbour cities of Jolfa (Iran) and Culfa (Nahcivan) is needed to be constructed. The railway connection is planned to be completed within this year.

Turkey has also a project to have an alternative rail connection to Iran via Nahcivan. But the project has not started yet.
