Ahmet Arslan is assigned as Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister in new government of Turkey, where last Transport Minister Binali Yildirim is the Prime Minister.
Ahmet Arslan was elected as deputy of Turkish Parliament from Kars city in 2011 and 2015.
He took part in top management of Turkish Maritime Undersecretariat and Transport Ministry Infrastructure Office.
He was the member of board of Turkish Airport Authority, TT-NET and Türk Loydu, member of board of auditors of TÜRKSAT, member of TOBB Marine Assembly.
