8th of the 21 logistic centers of TCDD will be commissioned tomorrow.
The new logistics center, which is built in Kahramanmaraş province, 4.5 km away from Türkoğlu industry zone, will be opened on 22nd of October with a ceremony.
There is an important rail traffic to/from this region mainly by textile and cement industry. The new logistics center is at 24 km south of Maras and is on Turkey’s busiest line, Adana-Malatya railway. The center may attract the dense traffic between Maras and Mersin port.
The terminal is built on 800k sqm and has 22 lines each 550-meter-long, 30k sqm storage area for bulk loads and 45k sqm container storage area.
Türkoğlu is the 8th logistics center commissioned among all 21 logistics center TCDD planned. The 7 logistic centers already commissioned are: Samsun Gelemen, Halkalı, Eskişehir Hasanbey, Denizli Kaklık, İzmit Köseköy, Uşak ve Balıkesir Gökköy.
