TCDD Tasimacilik, in the first year after split from TCDD, goes on record in freight.
Rail freight volume had hit record in 2014 by 28.7 million of tons. During following two years, rail freight volume was disappointing, less than 26 million of tons each year.

Getting prepared for competition with private operators, TCDD Tasimacilik spends a great effort this year for increasing the freight volume.
As a result, TCDD Tasimacilik increased rail freight by 2 million tons in 9 months of 2017 compared with the same period of last year. If this tren continues in last 3 months of the year, a new record may come by the end of this year.
This year, financial reports will be published separetely for the first time for TCDD Tasimacilik. TCDD Tasimacilik has a target to start making profit within 1-2 years. The financial results of first year will be an important indicator.
