Here below are the 12 months of Turkish railways:
January
Turkey’s new train operator, TCDD Tasimacilik, announced new tariff. The new tariff is very simple. There’s option to rent locos and wagons in the tariff.
TCDD Tasimacilik decreased the discount rate for private wagons from 45% to 40%.
February
Marmaray engineering works speeded up. Kalyon-Kolin-Cengiz consortium is the new sub contractor. Project is expected to be commissioned by the end of 2018.
Sofia Express overnight train started service between Istanbul and Sofia. This is the only international train to/from Turkey running whole year. Train has sleepers and couchettes.
