TCDD Tasimacilik is very close to break record of all times in railway transportation.

The rail freight which stucked between 25-27 million tonnes per year, ais on the rise for last two years after TCDD Tasimacilik is splitted as train operator. Last year, TCDD Tasimacilik had carried 28.5 million tons of freight and was very close to break the record. The company has almost guaranteed to break the record this year.

This year, TCDD Tasimacilik has a target of 32 million of tons of freight. The results of first 9 month points 10% of increase compared to last year and shows that the record will most probably be broken this year. It should be noted that this record belongs to TCDD Tasimacilik only, excluding other train operators. This year, more than 2 million tons of freight was carried by two private train operators, where this much load was carried by TCDD Tasimacilik last year.

TCDD Tasimacilik goes on record in freight

If TCDD Tasimacilik hits its target of 32 million tons of freight, the total rail freight will reach to 35 million tons. This means over 15% increase in rail transport.
