TCDD Tasimacilik started to prevent usage of domestic tariff advantage in international transports.

TCDD Tasimacilik has two tariffs for railway transportation. One is for domestic transports, and other for international. First is in TL, where other is in Euro as a part of TEA tariff.

These two tariffs were close until this year. Due to increase in exchange rates, there is now a gap between two.

For 1000 km, the domestic tariff is about 13.5€/to + VAT, where the cheapest fare of international tariff (TEA) for the same distance is 30,6 €.

According to new regulation, TCDD Tasimacilik will charge international tariff for the whole route for the goods transported on domestic route, transhipped on to trucks and then to wagons again and transported to other countries.
