High speed trains will depart from Eryaman station at Ankara during January.

TCDD Tasimacilik announced that all high speed trains to/from Ankara will depart from Eryaman station between Jan 2 and Feb 1.

After the high speed train accident at Ankara, due to lack of signalization on that part, the HSTs have been running very slowly between Ankara HST station and Eryaman. The service on that section will not stop starting from 2nd of January. Until 1st of February, all trains will depart from/arrive to Eryaman station, the second HST station of Ankara located in west.

Passengers will be able to use bus service between Eryaman and Ankara YHT station.

Since the accident, a couple of problems were reported in social media about train service on that section.

In official statement, there is no more detail, but this “one month long” change of service is expected to be done for completion of signalization works.
