Tekirdag Derince rail ferry which connects Europe and Asia for freight trains will stop service for 15 days.

The only rail connection between Europe and Asia for freight trains in Turkey, Tekirdag Derince ferry service will be suspended for 15 days between 20th of September and 5th of October due to maintanance works of ferry and Tekirdag ramp.

Freight trains are not yet allowed to Marmaray Tunnel, thus during this suspension, the freight trains will not be able to move between Asian and European sides of Turkey.

Currently most of the traffic between Turkey and Europe including container trains depart from Halkali in European side, thus will not be effected by this suspension.
