Expectations for departure on 22 March

After normalization in high speed trains, start of some regional trains is on the table.

After being suspended a year ago, some of the main line and regional train services may restart soon. As of 1st of March, first steps about normalization in trains had taken in HSTs. They started running with full capacity and tickets started to be sold 15 days prior to departure is in the past. Now some of the regional trains are getting prepared to restart.

Ada Express which is running between Pendik (Istanbul) and Adapazari, Adana-Mersin which used to make 44 services per day, Karabuk-Zonguldak which had started after renewal and signalization of that stretch and Batman-Diyarbakir regional train services are mentioned about this preparation.

Though station managers had started to be prepared, not any official announcement about start of service has been done neither publically nor internally. Due to last situation in pandemic, trains are expected to start later on.

Main line and regional train services had been suspended on 28th of March 2020 due to Covid-19.
