The high speed train services to/from Konya are being done on high speed line constructed starting from Konya and connecting to Ankara-Istanbul HSL at Polatli.

Polatli-Konya line is 212 km long, double track very high speed line allowing max speeed of 300 km/h.

Completed in 5 years
Ground works started on Konya Polatli very high speed line in July 2006, in two sections. Due to ground problems, more tenders opened for remaining ground works and could be completed in 2009.
Yapi Merkezi was awarder for construction of superstructures (rail, electrification, signalization). Offer was 540 mn TL. Laying of rails started in July 2009 and completed in 18 months as promised. Test runs started in December 2010. Train service started on 23rd of August, 2011.
Travel time is 70 minutes
The signalization is ETCS Level2. Trains are running with a speed of 250 km/h, completing Polatli-Konya in 70 minutes. Travel time between Ankara and Konya is 1 hour and 45 minutes where Istanbul (Sogutlucesme) and Konya is 5 hours.

New HST station to Konya
From 2011 to 2020, trains only call at Konya train station in Konya. The new HST station around Bugdaypazari was commissioned in 2020. Trains now call at both stations. As other high speed line projects commissioned, the station is expected to give service to 3 million passengers annually.
New Velaro sets at Konya
The new Velaro sets of TCDD Tasimacilik is running on this line, giving service between Ankara and Konya. On Istanbul-Konya line, CAF sets are used.
3 million passengers are using this line annually. HSTs are highly prefered on Istanbul-Konya line and run mostly full.
