The route of Kirikkale-Samsun high speed line is declared by Yuksel Proje, the company awarded for the preliminary analysis of the line.
As declared in the public meeting, the railway has 3 sections:
Kirikkale-Samsun Main Line
The line will split from Ankara-Sivas high speed line at 112th km, go through Delice, Sungurlu, Corum, Mecitözü, Merzifon, Havza, Kavak and reach to Samsun. Main line will be 284 km long. Thus, Ankara-Samsun will be about 400 km.
Kirikkale-Samsun Main Line Eastward Connection
A connection line will split from Kirikkale-Samsun main line at 68th km, head towards southeast, go through Sungurlu, Bogazkale, Yozgat and connect to Ankara-Sivas high speed line at 186th km. The connection line will be 67 km long.
Merzifon-Amasya-Turhal Connection
The line will split from Kirikkale-Samsun main line at Merzifon and go through Amasya and reach to Turhal. It’ll be 97 km long, 27 km of which is double line, rest is single line. This single line section will be the second line for the current Sulova-Amasya-Turhal line.
