Railway Transportation Association (DTD) announced that his members will soon need 320 loco drivers.

DTD, the association that brings almost all companies which are in rail transportation industry, has prepared the short term need for loco drivers by its members which are planning to be train operator very soon. According to this work, DTD members need 320 loco drivers in very short term.

Hundreds of loco drivers to be needed

DTD defines the biggest problem as “recruitment of loco drivers” and requests from TCDD Tasimacilik to organize loco driver course and examination program very urgently.

The private companies which would like to be a train operator have not much options to employ loco drivers. They either have to transfer from TCDD Tasimacilik’s team or find someone who is retired from TCDD. However, these transfers seem to be harder than expected.

We’ll see how TCDD Tasimacilik reacts for this request coming from its potential competitiors.
