Highest ridership

More than half of the all rail passengers are from Istanbul. Total ridership on rail exceeds 730 mn in Istanbul. Ridership was increased by 19% compared to previous year.

Despite strike in Izban, total ridership of rail systems stayed over 200 millions in Izmir.

Suburban trains (Baskentray) helped Ankara grew fast. Ridership was 147 million, 11% more of previous year.

Then comes Bursa. By 8% increase, total LRV/tram passengers reached to 91 million.

Eskisehir preserved both ridership (41 millions) and rank in list (fifth).
