The freight trains will soon restart with limited number of wagons between Iran and Turkey.
Last month, Turkey/Iran border was closed and any train/truck crossing was restricted due to covid-19.
Early this week, a meeting was held with the participation of related governmental offices and transport associations. Since no human contact is needed at border, it’s decided to restart rail transport between Turkey and Iran with limited number of freight wagons.
Before transports restart, a disinfection system will be build at border for wagons. Wagons will be accepted after disinfection and 4 hours of ventilation.

Hi, is it possible to know the status of the cargo by announcing the wagon number?
Unfortunately not. A system exists for tracking, but not open to public.
