Merging in rolling stock industry

Three subsidiaries of TCDD for rolling stock manufacturing is merging.

Tudemsas, subsidiary of TCDD for manufacture of freight wagons, is getting prepared for export of 150 container wagons to Europe.

Interest of foreign companies to Turkey’s biggest freight wagon producer, Tudemsas, increases.

Tudemsas’ new 90’ container wagons have started being used between Turkey and Europe.

The first steps came from producers and maintanance workshops. The number of companies with ECM certificates reached to 9.

Tudemsas got the “Maintenance Functions Certificate” and became the sixth Turkish company which is authorized for rolling stock maintanance.

TCDD will invest about TL 600mn for passenger train sets, locos and freight wagons this year.

Tudemsas, the subsidiary of TCDD producing freight wagons, has started tests of Talns type hopper wagon.

The new legislation for registration of wagons brought restrictions for importing of wagons for four years.

Tudemsas is certificated for the production of bogies in TSI standards..
