InnoTrans, the biggest trade fair focused on railway technology, opens its doors today in Berlin with more than 2700 exhibitors from 51 countries.
The fair is remarkable with its wide outdoor display area with 3.5 km rail track. This year, unlike before, InnoTrans is providing wide-gauge and narrow-gauge tracks on outdoor area in addition to ten standard-gauge tracks and totally 145 vehicles are being presented in outdoor display area.
There is a chance to see state-of-the-art models of railway vehicles in the fair. Citadis tram by Alstom, Innovia Monorail technology by Bombardier, Desiro City EMU by Siemens, Citylink NET 2012 low-floor urban rail vehicle by Vossloh, ETR 1000 high speed train by AnsaldoBreda are some of them.
Almost all leading companies from all around the world is participating the fair, some of which are already known in Turkey such as ABB, Alstom, AnsaldoBreda, Bombardier, CAF, CNR, CSR, GE, Hyundai Rotem, Siemens and Skoda.
Turkey, for the first time, is one of the nations whose display area is among the ten largest. 37 companies from Turkey are exhibiting their services/products in Innotrans 2014. Click for full list of 37 companies.
The fair will be open between 23-26th of September for trade visitors, and outdoor display area will be open to all public visitors during weekend.
