Turkey’s biggest export port Ambarli is now connected to Europe by Ro-Ro + train service.
Ambarli is now added to intermodal/multimodal connections from Turkey to Europe. This is the seventh departure point to Europe after train connections from Cerkezkoy and Halkali and Ro-Ro + train connections from Haydarpasa, Pendik, Cesme and Mersin.
The Ambarli-Trieste service is opened by U.N. Ro-Ro last week. With the connected train services from Trieste, the containers and semi-trailers can now be transported from Ambarli to many destinations in Europe.
Ro-Ro services departs from Ambarli every Tuesday and Friday, and from Trieste every Saturday, as reported.
Ro-Ro service is also carrying trucks and semi-trailers. Price fod 45’ container is 525 € for one direction.
