Tenders will open for eight new metro lines of Istanbul in September.
The tenders were first announced by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality for July, then postponed to August, and now to September. Here below are those tenders:
Basaksehir-Kayasehir metro
Tender is on 9th of September. Line will start from the last station of Kirazli-Basaksehir metro line and end in Kayasehir.
Kaynarca-Tuzla and Kaynarca-Pendik metro lines
Kaynarca-Tuzla metro will start from the last station of Kadikoy-Kartal-Kaynarca metro (Kartal-Kaynarca section will open this year). There’ll be a single stop connection from Kaynarca Merkez to Pendik. Tender is announced as 19th of September.
Mahmutbey Esenyurt Metro Line
Tender date is announced as 20th of September for Mahmutbey Bahçeşehir Esenyurt metro line. Line will be extension of Kabataş-Mahmutbey metro line and will connect Kabataş and Esenyurt without any interchange.
Goztepe-Atasehir-Umraniye metro
Metro line will cross the new financial center of Turkey connecting Marmaray, Kadikoy-Kartal metro and Uskudar-Cekmekoy metro. Tender is on 21st of September.
Kirazli-Halkali metro
Tender is on 22nd of September. Metro line will connect the metro cross point Kirazli to Marmaray’s last station Halkali.
Cekmekoy-Sultanbeyli and Hastane-Yenidogan metro lines
Tender is on 23rd of July. Two intersecting lines in Asian side of Istanbul. Cekmekoy-Sultanbeyli line will start from the last station of Uskudar-Cekmekoy metro line and end in Sultanbeyli.
